Why Organic?

Since transitioning to Organic back in 2002, our animals are simply more healthy. They do not have to fight the foreign additives that show up in non organic feeds and antibiotics. We use homeopathic remedies, nozodes, and provide free choice minerals and kelp. Long stem hay in a day, dry hay, and properly managed pastures provide our animals with what they need to support a healthy immune system.

It’s important to choose organic meat. There are no antibiotics, growth hormones, GMOs, or pesticides. All of our livestock must be pastured raised after six months of age and be grazing for the entire grazing season. Organic meat has more beneficial omega-3 fatty acids and contains 50% higher levels than non organic meat. It contains less cholesterol, less fat, and less fatty and monounsaturated fatty acids. Organic meat has more antioxidants and is more nutritious. All of this is a result of the pasture based diet our livestock feeds on.
